How to use EFT

1. Rate the problem on a scale of 1 - 10

2. Set up statement

"Even though I <INSERT STATEMENT> I completely accept myself and my feelings"
(eg."Even though I have this headache" or "Even though I have this hurt feeling")

Say this as you tap the Karate chop point on side of hand.

Repeat three times, with focus and meaning.

3. Now tap about 7 times on each of these points.

At each one use a reminder word or phrase to keep focus on the set up statement. For example- ' this stabbing pain' or ' this hurt feeling'

  • TOP OF HEAD
  • INNER EYEBROW
  • OUTER EYE
  • UNDER EYE
  • UNDER NOSE
  • MIDDLE OF CHIN
  • COLLARBONE
  • UNDER ARM
  • BACK OF WRIST
  • FRONT OF WRIST

Repeat this sequence twice.

4. Re rate problem 1 - 10.

5. Repeat until intensity is reduced to 1 or 0
On second and subsequent rounds, use the phrase 'Even though I have this REMAINING <INSERT STATEMENT> etc. for the set-up statement, and use 'this REMAINING ................' for each of the tapping points.
